MAKAN CULTURE AND SPACE

Makan is a journal edited and published by Think Tanger, a non-profit arts organization based in Tangier, Morocco. The inaugural issue - Informal Utopias - was published in 2020 and established the foundations for the journal as a vehicle for critical engagement with contemporary architectural and urban conditions. The urgency for a representation of plurality, and with the academic scholarship emanating from are focused on exploring Africa and the Arabic-speaking milieu.
