The Prophet

Originally published in 1923, The Prophet is a collection of poetic essays that are philosophical, spiritual, and, above all, inspirational. These essays touches on a vast array of topics pertaining to everyday notions of morality, always with a keen spiritual twist that has made it a distinct philosophical classic. The essay structure makes it a great bedside book to be picked up intermittently, although I think once you're hooked on Gibran's prose, it won't be so easy to put down.
